NSB’s Corporate Relations Cell is dedicated in advising students on career options and providing the latest information and arranging for summer training opportunity and employment vacancies. To compete with the current competitive environment Corporate Relation Cell (CRC) provides individual counseling, runs seminars and group sessions concerning career choice, infusing interview skills and group discussion skills, preparing resumes and drafting job applications. The manager Corporate Relations keeps a constant liaison with the various business and industrial establishment (both private and public sector), which conduct campus interviews for final placements. In addition to update career information and employment trends, the CRC maintains a list of part-time jobs and summer/vacation employment opportunities in order to encourage investigation comparison of the relationship between theoretical concept and organizational practice.

Live Projects:

In addition to the Summer Internship program, several organizations such as Market Insight, Prognosys, Market Pro, Standard Charted Bank & American Express, have tapped the NSB talent pool for solving specific problems. Unlike the Summer & Winter Internship, these "live projects" can be taken up by students at any point in time. Once again the benefits to both the organization, as well as to students is obvious.

Industrial Visits

Taking the students for industrial visits is an integral part of the curriculum. It provides an ideal opportunity to the students to understand the real functioning of the industry and get exposed to different work cultures. This industry orientation Programme is reinforced through it. This provides the students with insights into real life organizational dynamics and familiarizes those issues of current concern of the industry.

Summer / Winter Internships:

At the end of the first year of their PGDBM programme, all students are supposed to take up a two-month internship assignment (summer & winter training) with an organization. This is a compulsory component of the curriculum for the completion of the programme, and is designed to provide exposure to the working of organizations, as well as a chance to apply the learning at NSB in solving real-world business problems. The benefits to both sides are obvious: You get strong analytical capabilities for a two-month period, without increasing your permanent head-count. And of course, you get a chance to observe NSB students first-hand. On the other hand, our students get the benefit of solving real-life problems in the corporate world. Several organizations have made Pre placement offers (PPO) to students through this route.

Final Placements:

Corporate Relations has a focused mandate to progressively enhance the synergies between the institute & industry. The cell conducts regular group sessions on career choices and infuses interview skills in students to face the brutal corporate world. It is dedicated towards meeting student’s long term and short-term career needs in terms of final employment and internships.
