NSB School of Business organized a two- day
international event - "Taiwan days"
at its campus in New Delhi. This event was held
be in collaboration with Taipei Economic and
Cultural Center (TECC), New Delhi. Taiwan days
was one of the most spectacular B-School extravaganzas
of the year. Hon'ble Ambassador of Taiwan Mr.
Wen-chyi Ong, Ms. Joy Yen, the Director of Information
Division , Mr. Earl Fang, the Deputy Director
of Information Division participated as delegates
in the biggest International event at NSB.
On day one, 31st March 2010 Taiwan days commenced
with the lighting of the lamp and paying obeisance
to the Goddess of Learning, Maa Saraswati by
leading dignitaries and luminaries like Ms Rita
Sachdev, Director NSB School of Business, Ms.
Joy Yen, the Director of Information Division
, Mr. Sandeep Sharma, Senior Vice President-Marketing,
NSB School of Business, Mr. Nikhil Kulshrestha,
Dean ,NSB School of Business.
Delivering the welcome address director of NSB
School of Business, New Delhi, Ms. Sachdev discussed
about the country's contribution towards enriching
the academic and the community environment of
the campus. She also pointedly talked of the
need for converging India with global economies
if India is to meet its future goals.
Along with the event, institute had also organized
photo-exhibition, poster making competition,
essay writing competition and Taiwan film screening
with the objective to establish of making Taiwan
more familiar with the audience.
Ms. Joy Yen, the Director of Information Division
while addressing the students discussed about
"Taiwan's cultural & technological
richness and scope of collaborations with India."
On day two, 1st April 2010 the occasion was
graced by the Hon'ble Ambassador of Taiwan Wen-chyi
Ong, as the chief guest of the event and addressed
the students. He encouraged the students with
prizes for participating in competitions.
On the second day, the conference hall of NSB
School of Business, New Delhi reverberated with
loud shouts of 'hey' as the students performed
a magnificent heart stopping fusion dance performance.
The fusion dance was followed by equally energetic
performance by students of the institute that
took the audience into the journey through some
of the Indian states that brought to light,
the cultural and the geographical richness of
India. The journey through the Indian states
reflected the message and culture of unity and
diversity which is visible even in today's India.
The function concluded with vote of thanks by
Prof. Tushar Kanti Goon.
